Research
Research areas: head and neck oncology, including locally advanced disease,
well-differentiated thyroid cancer, and oropharyngeal carcinoma; breast
cancer, including regional nodal irradiation and de-escalation in lower-risk,
node-positive disease; and palliative radiotherapy.
A second focus is applied artificial intelligence and clinical informatics in
radiation oncology — radiomics signatures for outcome prediction,
large-language-model applications, and clinician-facing computational tools.
Related work addresses AI safety and reporting integrity in clinical
oncology, including a systematic review of oncology large-language-model
studies assessed against the CHART 2025 reporting guideline for
chatbot-assessment studies.
Founder of Precision RT Rounds at BC Cancer – Vancouver Centre, an
interdisciplinary forum on advanced radiotherapy technologies and
computational methods in radiation oncology.
